(320) 252-0711Republic Services Minden Transfer Station is the local transfer station in St. Cloud where residential and commercial loads are dropped off to be compacted and hauled to a landfill elsewhere. Neighbors and small haulers use it when driving all the way to a distant landfill isn’t worth the trip. It sits on 35th Ave SE just off the main drag, so it’s easy to find.
There’s typically a guarded entrance booth and a drive-in lane where vehicles stop to be directed; expect to slow down and possibly cross a scale on the way in or out since these places usually charge by weight. The site is industrial - compactors, roll-off trucks, and a tipping area are what stand out most, and bigger trucks move through regularly so take care when pulling up. During colder months many Minnesota facilities move some drop-off activities indoors or shielded, so bring a jacket and be prepared for people and equipment working in frozen conditions. Weekends or seasonal cleanup times commonly build queues, so allow extra time if it’s not a weekday.
