Whitefeather Landfill is the big burial site out on East Whitefeather Road in Pinconning. Locals and commercial haulers bring loads here; this is where trash gets buried rather than taken for recycling.
Pull up to an entrance booth and continue over a scale - tipping fees are charged by weight, so expect to stop again when you leave. The site is large with dirt/gravel roads, mounded cells of compacted material and the usual mix of trucks and trailers. Unloading happens in different parts of the site and heavy equipment moves around, so move slowly and watch for machinery. Weekends and spring cleanup season are the busiest times, and lines can back up.
Learn how to properly dispose of common items.
