Waste Management - Menominee Landfill is the big landfill off West 6214 Elmwood Road in Menominee, Michigan. People from the area and commercial haulers use it for larger loads that won’t fit in curbside pickup. It’s a working dump - expect big trucks, dirt roads and tall mounds of compacted material when driving in.

Pull up to a small entrance booth and a weigh scale near the road - tipping fees are charged by weight, with separate residential and commercial rates. After checking in at the booth, follow the drive lane out to the active dumping area; the surface is mostly unpaved and can be dusty or muddy depending on the weather. There’s a second stop on the way out to record the outbound weight, so expect to stop twice. The place is noisy and industrial-feeling, so take it slow getting around trucks and equipment.
