(800) 858-0089Republic Services Sauk Trail Hills Landfill is the large County landfill out on S Lilley Rd that handles residential drop-offs and commercial haulers. People bring everything from household cleanouts to contractor loads; it’s the kind of place trucks and trailers frequent daily. You’ll see big earth mounds and heavy equipment working the cells from the road.
Drive up to a single entrance with an attendant booth and a scale-vehicles are typically weighed coming in and again on the way out since tipping fees are based on weight. There’s usually a clear pull-up area for smaller trucks and a separate lane for commercial trucks to get on the scale. Expect compacted dirt roads inside and large piles of cover material and pushed trash; heavy machinery moves around, so take it slow. Recycling or drop-off bins, if present, tend to sit near the entrance area just past the booth.
