Locals and small haulers bring household trash, construction debris and commercial loads here. It’s a large, working landfill on the east side of town that handles heavy trucks as well as pickups.
Drive up to an entrance booth and a vehicle scale; the site charges tipping fees by weight so plan to stop on the scale both entering and leaving. After the scale there’s a short drive to the active tipping area where trucks and trailers unload into open cells and compactors. The site looks industrial - dirt roads, high berms of soil and cover material, and big equipment moving around - so keep clear of heavy machinery and follow the flow of traffic. Lines build up on weekends and during spring cleanup, so expect some wait time when lots of people show up.
