Weston Transfer Station

195 Church St, Weston, MA 02493

(781) 786-5140

Weston Transfer Station is the town's place for dropping off household trash and recyclables before it gets compacted and trucked out of state. Locals, contractors with small loads, and folks doing seasonal cleanups use it when a trip to a distant landfill would be a hassle.

Expect a gated driveway with an entrance booth and a scale; vehicles usually stop at the booth to show a town permit before driving in. Loads are emptied into large containers or pits and then compacted, so the site looks industrial with big trucks coming and going. Lines can form on weekends and during spring cleanup, so there are often a few cars waiting to get in. Bring materials sorted the way the facility asks for and be ready to move slowly through the process.

Before You Go

  • Have your town permit or sticker out and easy to show at the booth - that speeds things up.
  • Secure loose items in the truck or trailer; wind and the compacting process can send things scattering.
  • Try a weekday morning if possible - weekends, especially in spring and fall, are the busiest times and backups are common.
