It’s the kind of place people use when a curbside bin or a long drive to a landfill won’t cut it.
Pull up to an entrance booth/scale area and slow down - there’s usually a point where vehicles stop to be weighed or checked before entering the tipping floor. The site itself is industrial: concrete tipping areas, compactors, and piles of sorted material with a few lanes for different drop-offs. Recycling containers are usually set off to one side, so have separated materials ready before getting out of the vehicle. Weekends and spring cleanup times tend to get crowded, so expect a line and a bit of waiting.
