(978) 535-5450Republic Services Peabody Transfer Station is a local transfer station in Peabody where neighborhood residents and small haulers drop off household trash and sorted materials for compacting and hauling elsewhere. It’s the kind of place people use when a trip to a distant landfill isn’t practical. The location on Forest Street is easy to find from town roads.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale area-traffic usually funnels through a single lane and vehicles pause to get weighed. The compacting and loading area is a large open yard with roll-off containers and a few tipping bays; expect to drive slowly and follow signs or cones. Recycling and other materials are often separated and placed in different containers, so have loads sorted before pulling up. Weekends and spring cleanup times can build a line, so allow extra time.
