(413) 442-8390Republic Services Dump & Transfer Station is the local transfer point in Shreveport where household and commercial loads are compacted and sent off to a landfill elsewhere. Neighbors and small haulers use it instead of driving out to a distant dump. It sits on W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop in an industrial stretch of town.
The site is fairly large with a single entrance lane and an entrance booth just inside the gate; slow down when pulling in. A scale is visible near the entry/exit area, so vehicles usually stop twice - in and out - which adds a little time to the visit. Drop-off areas are open and paved, with heavy equipment and transfer trailers visible across the yard; wet weather can make things muddy at the edges. Lines build up on weekends and during seasonal cleanups, so there can be a wait before getting to the tipping area.
