Dennis Town Disposal Area

Dennis Town Disposal Area is the municipal disposal site in South Dennis used mostly by local residents hauling household junk and yard waste. The place handles community loads and is the kind of spot people drop by with a truck or trailer for regular cleanouts or seasonal piles.

Drive up Theophilus F Smith Road and follow the entrance toward the small intake booth where vehicles stop briefly before going in. There's a scale to cross for most vehicles, so expect to slow down twice if bringing a full load. Recycling and separated materials are handled differently in Massachusetts, so there are distinct collection points and signage for sorting; bring things at least loosely separated. Weekends get busier, especially during spring cleanup, and the site is mostly open-air with piles and containers to walk between.
