A small-town recycling center in Brewster that locals use to keep stuff out of the landfill. People bring sorted loads of paper, cardboard, glass, metal and many plastics, and there are often special collection programs for things like electronics or household hazardous items.
The site looks like a working yard with an entrance booth and a scale as you pull in, so plan on a short stop at the gate. Recycling bins and drop-off areas are grouped by material a short drive past the booth; vehicles usually pull up, unload, then drive back over the scale. On weekends and during spring cleanup the line can get long, and the yard itself is mostly gravel with heavy equipment moving about, so take care while walking around.
