Newland Park Sanitary Landfill is Salisbury’s county landfill at 6948 Brick Kiln Road. It’s the place loads end up when they’re buried-used by local residents and commercial haulers alike.
Pull off Brick Kiln Road into a modest entrance with a small booth near the road and a scale you’ll cross in and out; tipping fees are typically charged by weight so expect to stop twice. The site is open and workmanlike, with dirt roads, heavy equipment in the distance, and large capped cells or piles where material is handled. Commercial trucks are common, and commercial loads are generally accepted though they may be handled differently than residential drops. Traffic can back up on weekends and during seasonal cleanups, so there can be a line of vehicles waiting to weigh in.
