Disposal Site

Harford Waste Disposal Center

3241 Scarboro Rd, Street, MD 21154

(410) 638-3018

A county disposal site used by Street residents for getting rid of household and yard refuse. Short trips and pickup-truck loads are common here, mostly locals dropping off things they don’t want to keep around the house.

There’s an entrance booth and a big paved drive where vehicles pull up to be weighed or directed. Expect a scale and a secondary stop on the way out if the site charges by weight. Recycling and drop-off areas are generally grouped together, with larger open bays and piles visible from the access road. Weekends, especially in spring and fall, tend to have longer lines and more activity from contractors and residents alike.

Before You Go

  • Bring loads already sorted (metal, branches, general trash, recyclables) so trips through the site go faster.
  • Arrive early on weekends or during spring cleanup to avoid long queues and waiting behind contractors.
  • Secure tarps and tie down loose material before pulling into the booth or onto the scale to prevent spills and save time during unloading.
