Waste Facility

Baltimore City Department of Public Works

6101 Bowleys Ln, Baltimore, MD 21206

(410) 396-9950

A municipal disposal site run by Baltimore City DPW where local residents drop off household trash and other typical residential material. Neighbors, landscapers, and anyone hauling a pickup or trailer use this place for routine disposal needs.

There’s an entrance booth and people usually queue up in lanes to be directed where to go. Vehicles normally pull onto a scale and are weighed, so expect to stop twice-once in and once on the way out. The site is large and industrial-looking: concrete pads, roll-off bins and a few big bays, with traffic moving slowly through designated drive aisles. Weekends and spring cleanup times get noticeably busy, so lines and wait times climb then.

Before You Go

  • Secure and tarp loose loads before getting there so nothing blows out while waiting in line.
  • Bring things staged by type (bulky items together, bagged trash together) to speed unloading once directed to a drop-off spot.
  • Avoid weekend mornings if possible; mid-week or later afternoons tend to be less crowded and move faster.
