It's the place where household loads get compacted and loaded onto bigger trucks for the trip out of county, mostly used by local residents with regular drop-offs or spring cleanup piles.
The site is compact rather than industrial - expect a single entrance drive with a small booth and a scale area where vehicles pause before heading to the tipping area. Trucks and trailers pull up to a concrete pad or pit to empty; larger compactor equipment is usually visible nearby. Recycling containers and drop-off points tend to be grouped to one side of the lot, so other vehicles funnel around them. Weekends and warm-weather cleanup times can slow traffic, and winter conditions can make the parking and driving surfaces icy or rutted.
