(207) 633-5006A small-town transfer station where local residents drop off household trash and recycling; trucks compact the loads here before hauling them to a landfill. Located on Country Club Road in Boothbay, it’s mainly used by people from surrounding towns who don’t want to drive all the way to a distant landfill.
There’s an entrance booth and a paved drive where vehicles pull up to be directed; expect to wait behind other cars on busy weekends and during spring cleanups. The tipping area and compactor are visible from the drive, with recycling bins or containers off to one side. The site is exposed, so winter weather can make the roads and yard slippery and slower to move through. Bring everything sorted as much as possible so unloading goes quicker.
