Transfer Station

Waste Connections Bossier City Transfer Station

3501 Shed Rd, Bossier City, LA 71111

(318) 635-1700

Small, working transfer station used by residents and haulers who don't want to drive out to a landfill. The place compacts loads and sends them off-site, so it's busy with roll-off trucks and transfer trailers. Locals bring household junk, yard debris and bagged trash when a trip to a landfill isn't convenient.

Drive up a short lane to a gatehouse or booth where traffic is directed; there’s a scale sequence for larger vehicles and commercial rigs. Multiple drop bays and a big concrete tipping floor dominate the yard, with a compactor and transfer trailers usually lined up. Expect loud machinery, occasional diesel fumes and a working-lot look rather than anything tidy or landscaped. In wet weather the yard can be muddy and extra caution is needed around puddles and slick ramps.

Before You Go

  • Have loads tarped or covered for the drive in-wind and passing trucks can blow debris around the lot.
  • Bring help to unload bulky items; drop areas are high and it can be easier with an extra pair of hands or a ramp.
  • Do not block the entrance scale or truck lanes when waiting; pull as far forward as staff indicate so traffic keeps moving.
