Tangipahoa Parish Regional Solid Waste Facility on Hano Road is the local spot people go to when cleaning out garages, mowing yards, or getting rid of household trash. Neighbors and small haulers show up with mixed loads-recycling, yard waste and regular trash are what this place handles most of the time.
There’s a small entrance booth and a scale, so plan to stop at the front and again to be weighed if the site charges by weight. The recycling bins are usually off to the right past the booth, with drop-off areas for yard waste and general trash further in. It’s a working site with trucks coming through and open piles or containers, so expect dust and some noise. Weekends, especially during spring cleanup, tend to have the longest lines.
