Sabine Parish Sanitary Landfill is the parish landfill out on Sabine Landfill Road, serving homeowners and haulers in the Zwolle/Many area of Sabine Parish. This is where household trash, construction debris and commercial loads end up - a working, no-frills site used by neighbors and contractors. Expect something more practical than pretty: piles, compacted cells and equipment moving dirt and trash around.
There’s usually a scale and a small gate/scale house to stop at - many landfills charge tipping fees by weight or by load, and parish sites commonly take commercial haulers as well. Drive onto the scale first, then proceed to the active dumping area and back over the scale so the load can be recorded. The yard is mostly dirt and gravel with heavy equipment and trucks; a pickup and trailer will look right at home. Weekends and spring cleanup tend to get backed up, so lines and slow moving traffic are common.
