Resource Recovery Landfill sits out on CR 5300 just outside Cherryvale and handles the town’s larger trash hauls. Households, contractors and local businesses use it for loads that are taken to be buried at the site.
There’s usually an entrance booth and a scale near the drive-in; most landfills like this charge tipping fees by weight, so expect to stop to be weighed. The site is mostly gravel with heavy trucks moving around, open cells and dirt mounds visible from the road. Drivers pull up to a tipping area to unload and then typically run back across the scale on the way out. When commercial trucks arrive the place can feel busy, so lines and slow-moving traffic are common at peak times.
