Ness County Landfill is the county dump out on 190 Road near Ness City, used by residents, contractors and local haulers. Trucks and pickups show up for regular trash runs and the occasional contractor load, so expect a mix of passenger vehicles and commercial rigs.
There’s usually a scale and a small entrance booth; drivers pull onto the scale and often stop again after unloading since tipping fees are typically charged by weight and there’s often a minimum for small residential loads. The site is mostly open working cells and dirt roads with piles of brush, scrap and compacted fill visible from the entrance. Traffic moves in a simple flow - scale, tip, weigh out - so plan for a second stop and a short wait on busy days.
