Hamilton County Landfill is the county dump a few miles outside Syracuse, Kansas, where locals bring household junk, construction debris and bigger loads from farms or jobsites. Neighbors, small contractors and anyone cleaning out a garage tend to use it when trash needs to be buried rather than hauled to a transfer station.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale - trucks typically get weighed, so expect to stop more than once. After the booth, pull up to the unloading area; the ground is mostly gravel/earth and machinery works the piles, so it can be dusty or muddy depending on the weather. Vehicles usually have to back into the tipping spot or pull up onto a pad to dump, then head back over the scale on the way out. Recycling or drop-off containers, when available, are often near the entrance or just past the booth.
