It’s the place where household trash and commercial loads end up buried rather than recycled or transferred. Farmers, small contractors and town pickup trucks tend to show up here.
Drive in to a single entrance with a small control booth and a drive-on scale; vehicles usually stop to be weighed and then pull forward to tip. The site is large, mostly open cells and compacted dirt roads, with piles of cover material and heavy equipment visible. Expect to back into the active face or a roll-off area and then head back over the scale to get a final weight. Tipping fees are charged (by weight or load) and the landfill accepts commercial loads, so larger trucks are common.
