City of Oakley Landfill is the small municipal dump out on Day Dream Road used by Oakley residents and local contractors. Trucks, trailers and pickup loads show up here to drop off non-recyclable material. It’s a working landfill - the place trash gets buried, not a transfer station or recycling center.
Drive up to an entrance booth and through a weigh scale; tipping fees are typically charged by weight so expect to stop on the way in and again on the way out. Pull forward to the active tipping area and be prepared to back a trailer or truck bed down to unload; the site looks like the usual landfill - dirt ramps and large earthen cells. Commercial haulers are usually handled differently than residential drop-offs, so commercial loads may have separate procedures or paperwork. After wet weather the access and tipping zones can be sloppy, so take it slow when maneuvering.
