This is the Cass County Sanitary Landfill out on Jackson Road, the place locals take big loads that won't fit in curbside pickup. Residents and commercial haulers both show up here when there’s too much junk for the usual trash can.
The site is large and open - think rolling piles, heavy equipment, and a simple gate/scale setup near the entrance. Most landfills have tipping fees that are charged by weight or by load size, so expect to stop on the scale and again after dumping. Drive slowly into the entrance lane, pull up to the booth or scale, then follow signs or staff directions to the drop area; larger commercial loads commonly use the same entrance but may be routed to a different tipping pad. Weekends and spring clean-up times get busy, so there can be a line.
