West Clinton Landfill is the town landfill out on South Kanizer Drive that local residents and commercial haulers use to drop off trash for burial. It's the final-stop type of place where loads get weighed and buried rather than recycled. The site operates like other county landfills in Indiana under state oversight.
Drive in toward the entrance and expect to cross a scale - tipping fees are typically charged by weight, so prepare to stop for weighing on the way in and again on the way out. There’s usually an entrance booth or scale house and a lane where trucks and pickups line up; pull up to the scale and then follow the flow to the dumping area. The yard is mostly gravel and dirt with heavy equipment moving spoil and compacting loads, so expect dust and uneven surfaces. Commercial loads are accepted and are billed differently than small residential drop-offs.
