(800) 886-3345Republic Services Springfield Environmental C&D Landfill is the big construction-and-demolition landfill just off IN-69 in Mount Vernon, used by local contractors and anyone hauling large loads. Trucks and roll-offs show up here regularly, and smaller residential drop-offs happen too.
Pull in to the entrance where there’s a scalehouse/booth and a big scale you’ll drive over; loads are charged by weight so expect to be weighed in and weighed out. The site is large - think long drive lanes, piles of cover dirt and compacted cells in the distance, with heavy equipment moving around. Commercial trucks line up on busy days, and residential vehicles will be directed to a different area to tip. Plan for some driving on gravel and a bit of dust depending on recent weather.
