(317) 917-7300Republic Services Circle City Recycling and Transfer Station is a recycling center on Indianapolis’ southeast side that residents and small haulers use to drop off recyclables. It's the kind of place neighbors swing by with loads of cardboard, cans, bottles and other common recyclables. The site focuses on keeping materials out of landfills and may run special collection programs for things like electronics or household hazardous items at times.
Drive in off Southeastern Avenue and you'll see an entrance booth and a scale - typical for centers that charge by weight, so vehicles often stop twice. Pull up to the booth first for directions, then follow signs to the recycling bins which are usually grouped together to the right of the main drive. The yard is industrial: concrete pads, roll-off containers and a few covered tipping areas; bring a way to secure loose items in your truck bed. Lines form on weekend mornings and during spring cleanups, so expect some wait time when it's busy.
