(317) 917-7300A working transfer station off Robison Road where neighborhood folks drop off household and yard stuff to be compacted and hauled out. Locals use it when the county convenience center or a distant landfill isn’t convenient. Expect a busy, industrial lot rather than a tidy recycling center.
Drive up to an entrance booth and pause to be waved through; there’s usually a scale area so vehicles stop twice - in and out - if the site runs that way. Big roll-off containers and compactors sit on the concrete pad, with commercial transfer trucks coming and going; give them plenty of room. Pull into lanes marked for unloading, then back up to the tipping area or follow directional signs to the drop point. Lines show up on weekends and during spring cleanups, so the place can feel loud and dusty when it’s busy.
