Hoosier Landfill, Inc. is the landfill out on 2710 E. 800 South just outside Claypool where residential and larger loads end up. Locals and commercial haulers use it when material needs final burial rather than dropping at a county convenience center.
There’s a scale/scale house at the entrance and tipping fees are handled by weight at landfills, so expect to stop at the scale and often again on the way out. The site is large with compacted mounds and heavy equipment working the active dumping area; the unloading spot sits well back from the road. Pull into the entrance lane, wait your turn at the scale, then move to the active dumping area to unload. Weekends and spring cleanup bring lines, so there can be a bit of traffic at the gate.
