Crawfordsville Transfer Station

513 Bluff St., Crawfordsville, IN 47933

800-963-4776

Small transfer station on Bluff Street that locals use to drop off household and small bulky trash instead of driving out to a distant landfill. The site is compact and looks like a working yard rather than a public park. People from Crawfordsville and surrounding areas swing by when they have a load that’s easier to offload than haul out of town.

Drive up to a gated entrance with a small booth where vehicles stop briefly before entering; expect to be directed where to pull up for unloading. The yard has large containers and a compactor area, so there’s often a bit of noise and dust. Recycling bins are typically set to one side of the main driveway, while larger trucks move in and out of the main pad. After unloading, vehicles generally follow the exit lane past the booth to leave the property.

Before You Go

  • Bring ties or a tarp for loose loads-wind can scatter lighter items while waiting or driving through.
  • Try to avoid weekend mornings during spring cleanup; lines and wait times can build up.
  • Have items sorted before pulling up so unloading goes quicker and the attendant can direct where each pile should go.
