County Line Landfill is the county dump on the east side of Idaho Falls, used by homeowners, contractors and haulers who need a final place to bury trash. It’s the kind of place locals swing by with a pickup or a trailer when regular curbside options aren’t enough. Expect practical, no-frills operations rather than anything fancy.
Head up County Line Road to the fenced entrance and a small scale booth where trucks typically stop to be weighed - tipping fees are generally based on weight, so vehicles often get a ticket going in and another coming out. The site is broad with visible cell faces and large berms; drive slowly and follow traffic around the working face where loads are dumped. Recycling or drop-off containers, if present, tend to sit near the entrance road or right past the booth. Weekends and spring cleanup days are when lines and waiting are most common.
