(630) 762-8002This is the Batavia Transfer Station on Hunter Drive - the local place people use when they don't want to drive out to a distant landfill. Residents and small contractors drop off household junk, yard waste bags, and trailer loads here fairly often.
A small entrance booth and a scale sit at the driveway, so expect to stop there as part of the check-in process and again on the way out since charges are usually by weight. After the booth, follow the traffic lanes to the unloading bays where material is compacted and loaded into haul trucks; there are large open bays and heavy equipment moving around. The yard can be noisy and dusty, with semis and compactors working, so stay back from the edges and watch for backing vehicles. Lines build up on weekends and during spring cleanup season, so busy times feel slow.
