(217) 443-3128Republic Services Brickyard Disposal Landfill is the big burying spot out on Brickyard Road in Danville, used by both residents and commercial haulers. It’s the kind of place where trucks line up and household pickups end up for final disposal. Expect a working, no-frills operation rather than anything fancy.
Drive up to a small entrance booth and get waved through to the scale - this type of site charges by weight, so there’s a weigh-in and weigh-out stop. After the scale, commercial trucks and pickup loads head up the access road to the active tipping face; there’s a lot of heavy equipment and compacted dirt, not neat piles of recyclables. The site looks large and roughed-in, with dirt ramps and staged areas for trucks to maneuver before dumping. Lines can form on busy days, and the whole place smells and sounds like heavy machinery at work.
