Read more →Western Recycling is a local recycling center in Idaho Falls that people bring household recyclables to rather than hauling them to the landfill. Neighbors, small businesses, and folks doing spring cleanup tend to stop in here. It’s the sort of place used to keep ordinary recyclables out of the trash.
Expect a plainly laid-out site with drop-off bins and bays for sorted materials like paper and cardboard, metal, plastics, and glass; many centers also accept electronics and appliances though offerings vary. Drive up to an entrance area where there is often a small attendant booth or scale-plan on pulling forward to unload and then stopping again if there’s a weigh station. The recycling containers are usually grouped together, with common items separated into labeled bins; larger items go to a separate unloading area. Weekends and spring cleanup times can be busy, so lines at the entrance are common and movement through the site can be slow.
