A basic landfill setup with an entrance booth and a weigh scale you’ll drive over - tipping fees are handled by weight, so expect to stop on the scale both in and out. After the booth and scale there’s usually a paved drive to the tipping area and a large open cell or mound where trucks dump. It looks like a working site: heavy equipment, compacted dirt, and shifting piles rather than neat bins. Lines can form on busy weekends or during spring cleanup, so there can be a short wait to get to the tip face.
