(208) 782-3867Bingham County Central Transfer Station in Blackfoot is the local transfer station where household and small commercial loads are compacted and hauled off to a landfill elsewhere. People from town and the surrounding rural area use it when driving all the way to a distant landfill isn’t convenient.
Expect a working, industrial site with a booth near the entrance and places to pull up to drop off loads. There will be large containers, compacting equipment, and trucks moving materials in and out; bring a load that’s ready to be dumped. Lines build up on weekends and during spring cleanup, so plan for a wait if it’s busy. The site looks like other county transfer stations: gravel or paved drives, piles or containers of sorted materials, and the usual heavy‑equipment noise.
