Bennett Road Landfill is the large burial-type landfill out on Bennett Road, a little east of Mountain Home. Locals hauling full truckloads and commercial haulers use it for final disposal rather than recycling or transfer. It feels like the kind of place you go to when the pickup bed is full and needs a proper dump.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale - vehicles pull up, check in at the booth, tip their load, then usually go back across the scale so tipping fees can be calculated by weight or vehicle class. The site is big, with gravel roads, heavy equipment moving around, and visible mounds of compacted fill; expect dust and uneven surfaces. Lines form on weekends and during spring cleanup, so plan extra time if it’s a busy day. Commercial trucks are commonly handled here, so seeing trailers and dump trucks is normal.
