A small recycling center in Lahaina that locals use for household recyclables and things that shouldn’t go into the regular trash. Friendly for anyone hauling a load from town or nearby neighborhoods, and set up to handle the usual mix of cans, bottles, paper and common recyclables.
Drive onto Luawai Street and look for the single-lane entrance with an attendant booth where vehicles briefly stop before moving into the drop-off area. There are open containers and covered bays for different material types, so vehicles pull up, unload to the appropriate bin, then drive back out the same way. The site feels compact rather than industrial - expect vehicle traffic and the usual clatter of containers. Weekends and mornings can be busier, so bring patience and clear, separated loads to speed things along.
