(229) 244-2466A local transfer-style spot for hauling household and construction refuse in Valdosta. Neighbors, contractors, and folks cleaning out a yard truck come through here to drop off loads. It sits on Hawkins Street near the industrial side of town and looks like a working lot more than a storefront.
Drive in and pull up to an entrance booth where somebody will direct traffic; there’s a scale to one side so vehicles get weighed before and after leaving. The site is mostly open pavement and large roll-off areas with piles of material and compactors visible from the road. Recycling bins and smaller drop-off points sit off to the right past the immediate entrance. Weekends and early spring afternoons tend to have lines, so expect some wait time during busy periods.
