(866) 909-4458This is the large Waste Management landfill out on Little Neck Road that handles the area's final burial of trash. Locals and haulers bring everything here - regular residential drop-offs and commercial trucks both end up in the same place. It’s the kind of site you go to when nothing else on the route will take the load.
Drive past a security/entry booth and follow signs toward the scale; loads are weighed, so expect to stop twice. The site is expansive with compacted working faces and rolling earth mounds; trucks and trailers are common, and it can get dusty on dry days. After weighing, vehicles are directed to the tipping area where attendants will point out where to unload. Lines form on weekends and during big cleanups, so there can be a wait before the weighing and before access to the active cell.
