(678) 752-4277Small, straightforward transfer station used mostly by Jackson residents and small haulers. Trucks and pickups pull in to drop loads that get compacted and shipped out to a landfill elsewhere. It’s the kind of place people use when the landfill is too far to bother with for a quick load.
Pull up to an entrance booth or gate area and there’s usually a short line on busy days; bring something to secure your load in case of wind. Expect to stop on a scale for a weight ticket and then be directed to a tipping area or hopper where the load is dumped and compacted. The site is industrial-looking - concrete pads, metal walls, big compactors and roll-off containers - so be ready for dust and noise. Trucks and trailers need room to maneuver, so follow staff directions and be prepared to back up or circle around if it’s busy.
