(706) 632-6519Small transfer station tucked just off Lakewood Highway in Mineral Bluff, used mostly by local residents dropping off household junk and contractors with small loads. Staff compact the trash here and then send it on to a landfill elsewhere, so it's a quicker option than driving all the way to a distant dump. The place sees a mix of pickup trucks, trailers, and the occasional box truck on weekdays and weekends.
Drive up to an entrance booth/scale area where vehicles stop to be weighed; there’s usually a short line if several trucks are there at once. After the booth, follow signs and attendants directing where to pull up - loads are often tipped into large pits or containers and then compacted. The site looks industrial: concrete pads, big metal containers, and compactors, not landscaped grounds. Weekends and spring cleanups tend to be busier, so expect some waiting if there’s a community cleanout happening.
