Pike County Transfer Station

372 Twin Oaks Rd, Williamson, GA 30292

(770) 884-3000

Small county transfer station serving Williamson and nearby rural areas. Locals bring household trash, construction scraps and yard waste here to be compacted and hauled offsite, so it tends to be busier on weekends and during seasonal cleanups.

Drive up Twin Oaks Road to a modest site with a drop-off area and a visible entrance point where vehicles wait to pull forward. There’s usually a scale and an attendant booth before the main tipping area, and bigger trucks and compactors are obvious from the road. Expect to maneuver a pickup or trailer into a lane, tip or unload at the ramp, then pull back toward the exit to be weighed on the way out.

Before You Go

  • Secure loose items and tarp loads so debris doesn’t fly off while waiting or during unloading.
  • Separate recyclables, scrap metal and bulky items at home if possible so unloading goes faster and there’s less back-and-forth at the ramp.
  • Avoid the midday weekend rush when possible; early morning on weekdays or late afternoon can be noticeably quieter for backing into the tipping area.
