Harris County Convenience Center

A small county convenience center that locals use to drop off household trash, recyclables and yard debris. Located just off Harrisville Road in Hamilton, it’s the kind of place neighbors swing by with truckloads or carloads of home cleanup junk.

Pull in from Harrisville Road and look for a paved drive with a small entrance booth near the front; vehicles usually pull up beside the booth before heading to the containers. The site is compact-several large roll-off style containers and smaller recycling bins arrayed on a gravel or paved pad. Traffic can be a mix of pickups, trailers and SUVs, so expect to maneuver around other vehicles when backing up to a container. There’s no need for a big turnaround; most people make a quick drop and head back out the same way.
