Small county landfill on Eldorado Road used by folks from Omega and nearby Tifton for household cleanouts and contractor drops. It’s a working dump - big trucks, dirt roads and open cells, not a tidy transfer station.
Drive past an entrance booth and a scale area where loads are weighed; most landfills charge by weight so expect to stop again on the way out. The site looks industrial - piles of cover dirt, compacted cells and hauling trucks maneuvering around. Staff will direct vehicles to where to tip, and there are usually smaller containers or bays for recyclables and special materials near the front. Weekends and spring cleanup times get backed up, while weekday mornings tend to move faster.
