Small transfer station used by local homeowners and handymen who'd rather drop off a load than drive to a distant landfill. It’s the sort of place people use for construction debris, household cleanouts and yard clippings when a pickup or trailer is full. Located just off Redwood Road in Placida, it’s meant for quick drop-offs and short waits rather than long hauls.
Drive up to an entrance booth where staff will direct where to pull in; many transfer stations have a scale so expect to stop twice if weight is charged. The site is compact but busy - concrete bays and large roll-off containers are visible, with piles of compacted material and equipment moving stuff into larger trucks. Yard waste areas are often separated from general debris, and weekend or seasonal rushes can create lines out onto the access road.
