(813) 948-5765Waste Management - Tampa Transfer Station is a local transfer station where trash is dropped off, compacted, and sent on to a landfill. Neighbors and small haulers use it when taking loads that are easier to leave here than driving out to a distant landfill.
The site looks like a big industrial yard with a gated entrance and an attendant booth where vehicles pause before entering. Drive lanes lead to a tipping pad or drop-off area and large transfer trailers and compactors are visible moving material around. There’s usually a scale to cross so weigh-in and weigh-out are part of the visit, and separate piles or areas for yard debris are common in Florida facilities. Lines build up on weekends and after storms, so expect some queuing and large trucks maneuvering through the site.
