(561) 640-4000SWA South County Transfer Station is the Delray Beach spot most folks use when they have a truckload or trailer worth of household trash but don’t want to drive out to a distant landfill. Located at 1901 SW 4th Ave in the southwest part of town, it handles residential drop-offs and smaller commercial loads.
Pull up to a small entrance booth and be prepared to stop at a scale; loads are typically weighed and then sent into the yard. The site looks like a working yard - large paved tipping areas, compacting equipment and trucks coming and going as loads are consolidated and moved off-site. Follow the arrows and signs to the appropriate bay, and expect to sort or place items where the layout indicates. Weekends and neighborhood cleanup times get busy, with lines forming at the gate.
