Solid Waste Facility

Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County Administration

7501 N Jog Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33412

(561) 640-4000

This is the county solid waste facility for Palm Beach County on N Jog Road, used by residents hauling household trash, yard clippings, and other typical home clean-up loads. Locals swing by with pickup beds, trailers, or small trucks-it's a working, no-frills place rather than a tidy storefront. Expect a lot of activity, especially around hurricane season when the piles get huge.

Drive up to an entrance booth and prepare to slow down; there’s usually a scale nearby and fees are handled based on weight. Trucks and trailers are common, and the site is mostly concrete and gravel with large windrows or piles for different materials. Recycling and yard-waste areas tend to be off to one side while general trash areas are toward the back. Weekends and spring cleanup are noticeably busier, so lines at the gate can form.

Before You Go

  • Bring a tarp or straps: loads can shift during transport and you’ll want to cover debris for the drive in Florida winds.
  • Have items unloaded and sorted before pulling up to the booth so the process goes faster and you can be directed to the right drop-off area.
  • Avoid peak times if possible-early weekday mornings are usually less crowded than Saturdays or the day after a storm.
